To be clear - this is not your everyday run-of-the-mill DAC (but we do sell one of those). Our Binary™ HDMI Audio De-Embedder is the multi-tool of the A/V world, and bridges the age-old gap between whole-house audio and whole-house video. It extracts and decodes up to Dolby TrueHD ® and DTS-HD® surround formats, and sends multi-channel digital audio from a BluRay, AppleTV or other device to a surround receiver or matrix switcher, while simultaneously outputting a two-channel signal for whole-house audio. No missing audio, no menu-based selections to change formats, no compromises.
4K Ultra HD with Full 3D Support
This device offers full support of 4K (including HDMI® with 3D), Deep Color (36bit) and HDCP 1.4, as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats.
Dolby® and DTS® Certified
This device supports the majority of HDMI audio formats, and is certified by DTS® (DTS®, DTS-HD®, and DTS-HD® Master Audio®) and by Dolby® Digital Labs (Dolby® Digital, Dolby® Digital Plus, and Dolby® TrueHD) for its ability to decode and downmix multichannel audio to two-channel audio.
Audio Format Flexibility
A three-position switch delivers the flexibility to select which audio format goes from the de-embedder to the TV from the source output. A Mute setting only sends video to the HDMI output, ensuring that no audio passes through. A Source setting allows audio to pass through as multichannel audio from the HDMI input to the HDMI output. Finally, a two-channel setting enables HDMI and RCA to output two-channel audio.
Two-Channel Audio Delay
Featuring two-channel audio delay, the Binary™ HDMI Audio De-Embedder is equipped with an adjustable rear knob that enables the two-channel audio to stay in sync with the HDMI video signal. It provides a variable delay for the two-channel stereo audio signal that is available to the analog audio outputs, as it downmixes multi-channel PCM audio to two-channel analog audio.
Streamlined LED Indicators
For easy diagnostics, LED indicators on the front panel light up to indicate audio input from source to DTS® format and/or Dolby® format audio. The LED lights up blue when the unit is receiving DTS® or Dolby® audio. A red light indicates DTS-HD® or Dolby® Digital Plus audio, and a purple light indicates DTS-HD® Master or Dolby® TrueHD audio.
Installer-Friendly Design
This device is sleek in design and small in size. It can be mounted directly on the rack for a multi-room audio solution, or behind the TV for two-channel audio downmixing. It fits neatly in a VersaBox with all the ports on a single side.
Solves Multi-Device Audio Conflicts
The Binary™ HDMI Audio De-Embedder can be used to support whole house audio for multiple devices, or simply to downmix audio to one TV with two-channel audio outputs. It is the perfect solution for solving audio conflicts associated with various devices, including Roku®, BluRay® players, Apple TV®, and more.
